Silagen Sheeting: Step-by-Step Instructions
Application:
• Begin using Silagen only after your wound has fully healed or the stitches have been removed. Do not apply to open wounds.
• Remove the Silagen sheet from the package and trim if needed, ensuring it extends at least ½ inch (1 cm) beyond the scar.
• Keep the original packaging for storage. When not in use, place the sheet in the plastic insert with the backing side down.
• Before applying, wash and dry the scar area thoroughly. Avoid using creams, lotions, or ointments (including Silagen Gel), as they can reduce adhesion.
• Peel off the liner and place the adhesive side of the Silagen sheet directly on the scar.
• While Silagen is self-adhesive, you may secure it with medical tape, a pressure sleeve, or other preferred methods if needed.
Cleaning
• If the Silagen sheet becomes dirty or loses its stickiness, gently wash it with tap water and mild hand soap. Let it air-dry before reapplying.
• Clean Silagen every 2-3 days for best results.

Wearing Time
• Wear Silagen daily for 10 to 16 hours to maximize scar improvement.

• Remove before showering, bathing, or swimming.
• If you have sensitive skin, start with 4 hours per day for the first 4 days, monitoring for irritation. If no significant irritation occurs, increase wear time by 2 hours daily until reaching the recommended duration.
• Each Silagen sheet lasts 3 to 4 weeks with proper care.
• Replace it when it deteriorates, falls apart, or no longer adheres.
• Store unused sheets in their original container.
